Yoga Therapy

& Neuroimmune Conditions

What is yoga therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a personalised, science-based, therapeutic approach that supports the body by calming an overstimulated nervous system — a key factor in autoimmune, neuroimmune, and chronic stress–related conditions.

For many people with these conditions, the nervous system is chronically activated — shaped by ongoing stress, inflammation, pain, and uncertainty. When this state persists, cortisol and stress hormones remain elevated, which can intensify symptoms, trigger flares, disrupt sleep, and slow recovery.

Yoga Therapy works by gently guiding the nervous system out of constant alert and into regulation. Through slow, intentional movement, breathwork, and restorative practices, the body is given the conditions it needs to settle, repair, and regain balance — without force or strain.

How it helps:

  • Living with autoimmune or neuroimmune illness often keeps the nervous system in a constant state of alert. Pain, inflammation, fatigue, and unpredictability signal the body to stay in survival mode, which can worsen symptoms over time.

Yoga Therapy focuses on nervous system regulation, gentle movement, and breath practices that help reduce stress responses, support immune balance, and improve daily function — without pushing or overwhelming the body.

  • Hormonal shifts, autoimmune patterns, chronic stress, and fatigue are closely linked to nervous system function. When the system is overstimulated, symptoms often intensify.

Yoga Therapy offers a supportive, individualized approach that helps regulate stress hormones, improve body awareness, and restore a sense of steadiness and trust in the body.

  • Persistent pain and fatigue often reflect a nervous system that has become sensitised over time. This can lead to pain amplification, low energy, and slow recovery.

Yoga Therapy works gently to calm the system, improve movement safety, and reduce pain signalling — allowing the body to conserve energy and heal more efficiently.

  • Long-term stress keeps cortisol elevated and prevents the body from fully resting or repairing. Over time, this can contribute to inflammation, immune imbalance, and exhaustion.

Yoga Therapy helps shift the body out of chronic stress through breath, rest, and slow, intentional movement — supporting regulation, resilience, and recovery.
